How is this different to my annual checkup?
Kyma is the first health platform to offer comprehensive annual lab testing to understand your whole body—from heart and hormones to thyroid, nutrients, toxins, autoimmunity, immunity, and beyond. Unlike traditional annual blood testing, Kyma offers at least 5x more lab testing than what most primary care provides, which typically includes a rough average of 15 lab tests missing critical parts of your health. All results and insights are continuously tracked and securely stored in your Kyma dashboard, allowing you to easily uncover trends and watch health transformations over time.
Why don't I already get tested for these when I visit my doctor?
Many traditional physicians are not incentivized nor equipped to be able to order the breadth and depth of tests that we have curated. Kyma has negotiated speciality rates with our laboratory partners in the UK, meaning we can offer most tests for 1/5th the price you would be able to order publicly. Insurance also almost never covers this level of advanced testing due to misaligned incentives.
If I already feel healthy, how will this extra data be useful?
Many people who come to Kyma feel healthy but still discover a hidden health risk or places where they are severely suboptimal. Often, addressing these issues involves surprisingly simple tweaks. This is the power of early detection—addressing issues while they're still molehills, rather than waiting until they become mountains.
Getting Tested
Is insurance involved?
Kyma is fully insurance-free, ensuring transparent pricing so you always know exactly what you’re paying for. Think of it like a gym membership—designed for proactive health and performance. Traditional insurance tends to focus on reactive care, while Kyma bridges the gap between wellness and healthcare by prioritizing long-term health before problems arise.
Kyma is currently in beta. What does that mean?
Beta means that Kyma is not yet fully developed and there will be rapid changes with occasional bugs. Patience is required. We’re also managing access via a waitlist to ensure every member gets an optimal experience.
How do I schedule my lab visit?
It’s simple. Once you sign up for Kyma Health, you'll receive an email and text with instructions to book your lab visit at one of our Central London locations.
Do I need to fast?
Yes—you should fast for 12 hours before most tests to ensure accuracy. Staying well-hydrated helps with blood draws and improves urinalysis results. Skipping the fast can skew some biomarkers, and we recommend a morning appointment for the most precise hormone readings, such as testosterone and cortisol.
Do you offer at-home test kits (e.g. finger prick)?
No. The extensive range of tests in your Kyma membership requires a controlled lab setting. We explored mail-in kits but found they often compromise specimen quality due to issues like improper finger pricks, inconsistent specimen size, temperature fluctuations, and delays that can all affect test integrity.
My Results
How long do results take?
After your lab visit, you can anticipate receiving your results within 2-3 weeks. Once all results are ready, a clinician will review them comprehensively, and you can expect their notes to be delivered to your Kyma Dashboard within 1 week after you receive your complete results.
How do you create the health optimization plan, and where do Kyma’s personalised insights come from?
Your health optimization plan is created by a medical doctor and enhanced with AI, using your blood work, lifestyle, and family history. It includes tailored recommendations on diet, exercise, sleep, and supplements (if needed) to help you reach your health goals. All insights are based on peer-reviewed scientific research from PubMed, Nature, and other reputable sources. Every set of test results is also reviewed by clinicians, and their assessments are included with your results.
Does Kyma replace my doctor or concierge care membership?
No. Kyma does not replace your doctor or primary care in any way. Instead, it makes you a more informed and proactive patient. Your membership includes 100+ lab tests per year, detailed insights from top doctors, and a hyper-personalised health plan based on every set of results—something you can share with your doctor. Bringing a history of lab results to your next appointment can reduce unnecessary follow-up tests and make your visit more productive. Kyma is designed to enhance your healthcare experience, not replace it.
Will I get a PDF of my results each time I test?
Yes. Every time you test, you’ll receive a lab-certified PDF of your results, which you can share with doctors or anyone else as needed.
How does Kyma use AI to analyze my data?
Our doctors use AI to detect patterns and insights that routine analysis often overlooks. It factors in your past lab results, family health history, lifestyle, and future health goals to provide a deeper, more personalized understanding of your data.
How will the lab test results be delivered? Can I share my results with my doctor?
All results will be available on your Kyma Health Dashboard, where they’re charted and tracked over time—helping you spot trends and understand how your body is changing. Each result comes with clear explanations and actionable insights, including personalized food recommendations and lifestyle adjustments to optimize your biomarkers before your next test. And yes, you can easily download a PDF of your results to share with your doctor once they become available.

What is functional, longevity medicine and how is it different from mainstream healthcare?
Longevity medicine and functional medicine both center on optimizing health, but they approach it from different angles. Functional medicine is holistic and patient-focused, treating the body as an interconnected system and addressing root causes rather than just symptoms. It often relies on personalized lifestyle changes, nutrition, and targeted therapies instead of one-size-fits-all protocols. Longevity medicine shares this focus on prevention and personalization but specifically targets the aging process and extending healthspan—the years spent in good health. It weaves functional medicine principles together with cutting-edge research on genetics, epigenetics, regenerative therapies, and advanced diagnostics to help you stay vital as you age. In contrast, allopathic medicine, or conventional mainstream western medicine tends to focus on diagnosing and treating diseases primarily through pharmaceuticals and surgery. While allopathic medicine excels in acute care and managing serious conditions, it often emphasizes symptom relief rather than addressing underlying causes. Both functional and longevity medicine aim to complement and expand upon the strengths of mainstream medicine by incorporating a more comprehensive, preventive, and individualized approach to health, and they are core to our philosophy.
